Too Faced – Fall 2011 Midnight in the Garden of Glamour Collection

Too Faced is known for their timeless collections, adding a little something special each season.  This fall, we see a plethora of hot, new items – such as their revamped Smoky Eye kit [which looks amazing], a new Matte Eye Kit, and a number of highly pigmented eye shadow singles and waterproof eyeliners.

The pictures below don’t do the new colors justice, so that means… it’s time to go shopping! Who doesn’t love retail therapy? I know I do, especially when it comes to buying new beauty products. You definitely don’t want to miss out on what Too Faced has come out with for Fall 2011, so check it out below.

Too Faced – Smokey Eye Kit $36

The new and improved fabulous Smoky Eye Kit. This kit is filled with rich blues, blacks and browns to create a super seductive smoky eye.  Too Faced redesigned this all time favorite’s packaging to be slimmer, so it totally fits right into your purse without having to carry the whole kit-and-caboodle makeup bag.  My favorite color in this palette is Smoking Jacket, a deep grey/black pigment. What’s your favorite?

Too Faced – Matte Eye Kit $36

If you want to dress it down a little bit, go for this beautiful Matte Eye Kit. It’s filled with colors that will give you the perfect Natural Eye look, one the hottest trends this fall!  I am absolutely in love with London Fog, I just can’t stay away from the dark hues!

Too Faced – Exotic Color Intense Eye Shadow Singles $ 18

Check out these Exotic Color Intense Eye Shadow Singles. The shades are amazing and the pigments are right on point. With bright, bold colors like these, anything is possible! The Poison Orchid is beautiful, but then again, you knew I would choose that one – didn’t you!

Too Faced – Perfect Eyes Waterproof Eyeliners $18

Let’s not forget about their new Perfect Eyes Waterproof Eyeliners.  Eyeliner is one of my must-have products.  I can’t go a day without wearing it, even if my face is bare!  Not only am I in love with the new fall colors, but they are waterproof – holding up through your favorite romantic comedy or winter watery eyes.

Too Faced – Lemon Drop Shadow Insurance $18

With all of this talk about beautiful eye shadows, don’t forget to prime!  Priming your lids is the best defense against fading color and shadow under your eyes. While the original Shadow Insurance is a cult classic, their newest Lemon Drop Shadow Insurance is kind of amazing. It’s a color correcting yellow with red and pink pigments that make sure your eye lids are primed for that long lasting wear.

Too Faced – The Essential 3 – Piece Shadow Brushes $39

I love that Too Faced’s brushes are so simple and easy to use – perfect for any beginner! The Essential 3 – Piece Set Shadow Brushes are all you really need when applying eye shadows.  The brushes are created with the super soft “Teddy Bear Hair” bristles, which are cruelty-free synthetic fibers that really grab on to those pigments.

Too Faced – Size Queen Mascara $21

Last, but not least, mascara! Who could forget this smashing summer hit, Size Queen Mascara? Size Queen has a huge brush that’s shaped like a corkscrew, with alternating short and long rows of bristles. The formula promises to lengthen, thicken, and curl – the brush and special volumizing fibers grab onto the lashes to elongate them. I know everyone longs to have those long and luscious lashes, so give the Size Queen Mascara a try!

[DIY] A Sizzling Hot Smoky Eye

While eye trends are constantly changing, my all-time favorite look will always be a classic Smoky Eye.  With so many ways to customize it to your own preference, the Smoky Eye is perfect for a beach side luncheon or a hot night on the town.  One of my favorite palettes to create the look is the Smoky Eye Palette by Too Faced, coming with everything you need to create sexy, sizzling lids appropriate for any occasion.

If you’ve never created a Smoky Eye, the thought of it could be quite overwhelming.  Don’t worry – we’ve got you covered!  I’ve put together this easy, step-by-step tutorial to help you create the perfect sultry Smoky Eye.  If you’re brave enough, you can even start mixing and matching your own favorite colors to create a flirty fun look for the Summer!

Step One:

Prime your eye lid with the Too Faced Shadow Insurance. Then add your base color to the entire lid; here I used the Dark Gray. I love absolutely love this color;  it’s super pretty and allows for buildable color.   A favorite trick of mine  is to make sure you dampen your brush with water before dipping it into the eye shadow.  After the initial application, make sure to blend, blend, blend.

Step Two:

Pick up a little bit of the Black on your brush and form a sideways “V” on the outer corner of your eyelid.  Use a fluffy brush and blend the Black halfway to about 3/4 of the way into your crease. Once you are done blending, add your highlight color.  I used the Pale Silver to soften the look, dabbing gently to avoid too much pigmentation.

Step Three:

You’re almost done! Now add a liquid eyeliner, like the awesome Front of The Line PRO Liquid Eyeliner by Lorac.  It’s ‘no-budge, no-smudge’ formula will have your smoky eyes going all night long.  Then, take an angled brush, dip it into water before picking up more of the Black eye shadow and dab it onto your lower and upper water line.   I know it may seem weird to be putting powder on your water lines, but trust me, its probably one of the best tricks I’ve learned to keep my water lines from running.

Finally, use an angled brush to line your lower water line with Gray, starting from the inner corner of your eye out.  Stop the line about  3/4 of the way towards the outer corner.   Fill the rest of the line in with Black, working from the outside in.  After blending [ALWAYS REMEMBER TO BLEND!], finish with the Too Faced Lash Injection to make your eyes really pop.
