Sexy Summer Eyes… Wet or Dry!

Summer is finally here and so are all the backyard bbq’s and rooftop mixers… a perfect time for sexy summer eyes!

One of my favorite things about summer is switching up my makeup colors into shimmery, summer hues. All the bronzes, golds and sultry browns makes my inner tan girl’s heart sing. Sexy eye makeup in the summer is about keeping it soft and glowing without going overboard on the drama.

With all that heat, why would you want dark, heavy eye makeup? For me, it’s too much to wear layers of blended shadows on days when we’re in the triple digits. But that doesn’t mean my sexy eyes have the summer off. One of my favorite shadows to use to create some sexy summer eye looks is the Stila Eyeshadow Trio in Gold Glow.

I love that this shadow can be used either wet or dry which makes is perfect for both day or night. This shimmery, neutral trio is baked on a terra cotta disk for a sheer, never chalky, application. It’s not too sparkly for a casual afternoon bbq or day at the park.

To amp up the drama, apply it wet using the Evian Facial Spray, either spraying directly to the shadow or onto a brush to intensify the color for a night out with the girls!

Sex, Chocolate…or Cosmetics?

Recently, a study was conducted in the United States surrounding the common weaknesses of a woman – sex, chocolate and beauty products. With over 1300 women surveyed, you may be surprised at the results.

Women were more willing to give up their coveted luxuries for more than a week; such as sex, dessert and coffee, than to part with their favorite beauty product.
Women were also more likely to give up their favorite designer shoes and jeans than to let airline security confiscate their favorite cosmetics and skincare products.

“Women not only want beauty products that make them feel radiant inside and out, but products that are customized for their skin and lifestyle. It’s no surprise they would rather go without a few of life’s other simple pleasures. Once you find a product you love, that’s affordable and works, you never want to let it go,” said John Krites, L’Bel USA’s beauty expert.
