Last week we wrote about the best overall looks from the Oscars 2009. Well, we just couldn’t wait a whole year to dissect this year’s red-carpet looks.
So while the actors and actresses may have been pinning for a shiny gold statue last Sunday, we went ahead selected the winners for our own beauty awards.
And the winner is . . .
Best Nails
Miley Cyrus took an unexpected twist by pairing a dark charcoal with her blush-toned dress. We loved the contrast! Layer essie’s Loophole for a similar effect.
Best Hair
While she may not have won an Oscar – this time around – the always glowing Meryl Streep won the best hair award. Her sophisticated yet relaxed updo sealed her red-carpet look. Use Frederic Fekkai Coiff Magnifique Ultra-Light Finishing Crème for your own ‘do.
Best Lips

While she may not have been an Oscar winner, the up-and-coming Zoe Saldana took our breath away the moment we spotted her. Her hair, her natural glow, her nails, her dress! Everything about her looked exquisite.
